I’m Heather, a freelance illustrator, designer and animator living in Norway.

Originally from Nottingham, UK!

I love to create vibrant and playful images where I bring characters and stories to life.
With thoughtful use of texture and colour, my digital and traditional illustrations both have a cheerful hand-crafted look and feel.

I enjoy making work that has children as it’s audience, and really anyone who can appreciate a childlike wonder and sense of fun - both in life and art!

A little backstory

Graduating from Teesside University in 2014 with a degree in computer character animation, I went on to work as a freelancer for TV projects in Manchester, and later as a full time Animator working at Flock London. —Where I designed and created animation/graphics for TV, advertising, music videos, short films, and online content.

Alongside animating I’ve always loved illustrating and designing —and working at a small (but mighty) studio gave me the chance to combine those things together.
I could be fully involved in each step of the process - and for a lot of my later work as a Senior Animator, I was able to direct and fully produce films myself.

So whilst continuously using my strengths as an artist/animator; after 10 years in the industry I’ve also developed strong skills in other areas of the animation pipeline.

In my spare time I’ve been teaching myself to knit and crochet. I also love to read sci-fi, adventure with my film camera, and hang out with my two orange cats Mango and Moose.

Rollercoasters, musical theatre and marzipan are some of my favourite things :)
